The clean water:
In terms of water consumption during production, we are in a favorable position. In terms of groundwater, Finland is completely self-sufficient and the water is of high quality. Finland is one of the most water-rich countries in the world (UNEP 2015).
The clean floor:
Finland also has clean soil in international comparison. This is partly due to the natural properties of the soil and partly because the harmful activities from industrial and population centers per square kilometer are much lower than in densely populated countries.
Low Plant Disease Pressure:
The cold climate reduces the spread of pests by slowing their reproduction and preventing species that do not survive the winter from spreading across the country and forming permanent populations. Thanks to the climatic conditions, Finland has a lower plant disease pressure and the need for plant protection products is below average
sustainability

Growing responsibility for food production:
Due to population growth, the production and consumption of food is likely to increase significantly in the future. Climate change will result in the cultivation boundaries in Finland shifting further north, the growing seasons becoming longer and the harvests improving in the coming decades. Conversely, agricultural conditions near the equator become less favorable as the climate warms, water resources become scarcer and the soil loses nutrients. In other words, our responsibility for food production will continue to increase in the future

We take responsibility for the environmental impact:
The best food choice consumers can make with regard to the environment is to buy food from their own country or from a European member country, so we avoid long transport routes. In Finland there are strict legal requirements for the protection of nature and animal welfare.
